On the initiative of the Armenian side, a telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, informs the press service of the Kremlin.
"As a continuation of the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in December 2024, some current issues of further deepening of integration cooperation were discussed, first of all in the energy sector. The significant practical benefits—including for Armenia's economy—as a result of joint work within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union were noted.
Nikol Pashinyan explained the situation related to Yerevan's latest steps in the context of relations with the European Union. The leader of the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] gave the respective comments and assessments," noted the Kremlin press release.
