Russia has been and remains Armenia's largest economic partner. Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin stated this at the ceremony of announcing the results of the Best Russian-Language Teacher in Armenia 2024 national competition Friday.
According to Kopyrkin, Russians are the main contingent of tourist flow in Armenia. He added that all this proves that the Russian language continues to be a very important factor both in the development of bilateral relations and in the strengthening of Armenia's potential.
Kopyrkin noted that the world is changing, and Armenia and Russia are sovereign states. At the same time, the diplomat expressed confidence that the mission of the Russian language fully retains its significance in Armenia, including in practical terms, due to the fact that Armenia and Russia are united by very close ties in many domains, which are of key importance not only for the two countries, but also for the lives of people and families.
