Israel has accepted defeat and been capitulated by the Palestinian Hamas movement, agreeing to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, said Mohammad Bagheri, the chief of the joint staff of Iran's armed forces.

"The Zionists [i.e. the Israeli authorities] have admitted that they have no choice but to capitulate and agree to a ceasefire. The Axis of Resistance has steadfastly resisted this test and imposed a ceasefire on the enemy. And we have witnessed the capitulation of the Zionists to the iron will of the fighters of Islam," Bagheri said, informs the press service of Iran's ministry of defense.

The Palestinian Hamas and Islamic Jihad radical groups, the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah organization, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance Army, and the Yemeni Houthi Ansar Allah rebel movement are part of the Pro-Iranian Axis of Resistance coalition.
