Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, who is in Tehran on a working visit, on Monday met with Kamal Kharrazi, Foreign Policy Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader and Head of Iran Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, Armenia's foreign ministry informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Reflecting on the agenda of bilateral relations, the interlocutors lauded the existing cooperation between Armenia and Iran, and highlighted the efforts aimed at the continued deepening of relations.
Also, the importance of Iran's principled position on the need to unconditionally respect Armenia's territorial integrity and inseparability of its borders was emphasized.
The continuous development of relations between the two countries in the economic and infrastructural domains was recorded as well with satisfaction.
In addition, Kostanyan briefed Kharrazi on the details of the processes related to the agenda matters of Armenia's foreign policy and the latest regional developments, emphasizing that within the framework of the balanced foreign policy conducted by Armenia, the continued development of the country's relations with its regional partners, particularly Iran, is particularly important.
