Talks will be held Tuesday between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who will be in Moscow on a working visit. This is noted in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia.
"The heads of the foreign policy departments [of the two countries] will hold a thorough exchange of views on the entire range of Russian-Armenian relations, cooperation within the EAEU [i.e. the Eurasian Economic Union] and other integration associations in the Eurasian area, and current matters on the world agenda.
The center of attention will be the situation in the South Caucasus in order to achieve a balanced settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
We expect that the upcoming meeting will take place in a constructive way, will contribute to the advancement of practical task of cooperation, and will contribute to the strengthening of security and stability in Transcaucasia," the Russian MFA added.
