The beneficiary countries of the Trans-Caspian corridor are China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.

Logically, Armenia should also be a part of the North-South project in the direction of RF [(Russian Federation)]-Georgia-RA-Iran-Persian Gulf-India. "However, [Armenian PM] Nikol Pashinyan and his team are worsening the relations with the RF and the EAEU [i.e. the Eurasian Economic Union], at the same time signing agreements with the USA and the EU that do not give the RA anything. The North-South transport project, which would enable Iran to go to the Black Sea and the RF through Armenian territory, as well as Russian, Georgian goods to go to Iran and India through the RA, has not been implemented yet. The RA authorities are unable to implement major logistics projects and talk about the Crossroads of Peace [project], which will remain on paper, as Azerbaijan and Turkey do not need it. Baku has repeatedly stated that they want to get the so-called ‘Zangezur corridor by peaceful means or by military force," the ["Republic Square" Telegram] channel writes.

The authors emphasize also that Armenia is severing its ties with its traditional allies—the RF and Iran—while not getting anything from the West. "Against this background, Azerbaijan is deepening economic, energy-transport ties with neighboring Georgia and Iran, the RF, Central Asian countries, and Turkey. And Azerbaijan aims to exclude the RA from all major economic, logistic projects in the South Caucasus, thereby weakening the RA's both economic and politico-military potential and promoting emigration from the RA.”
