Minister of foreign affairs Ararat Mirzoyan has left the issue of the conflict between Armenia's membership in both the European Union  (EU) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for "later."

At Tuesday’s press conference with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow, Mirzoyan stated that there were currently no specific timeframes for Armenia's EU membership. The FM reminded that for now it is about the respective signatures collected by an initiative group and a bill based on it. He noted that the bill is public.

According to Mirzoyan, the parliamentary faction of Armenia's ruling party is expected to vote in favor of the passing of this bill.

"We will find out what will happen later. This law does not provide anything else," the Armenian FM added.

And when asked how Armenia plans to combine EU membership with EAEU, Mirzoyan noted that experts tend to think that there are contradictions in this regard. He added that this matter can be addressed when such a question arises.
