That decision by the UK government does not tighten the conditions of visits to Armenia. In fact, there is an alleviation of the recommendations made regarding Armenia, a serious piece about the possible threat of terrorism has been removed from the section regarding Armenia. Foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this during the question-and-answer session with the government at the National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday.

Opposition MP Artur Khachatryan recalled that just 24 hours after the joint statement made by Armenia and Azerbaijan on border delimitation and demarcation, the UK government urged its citizens to avoid driving on the roads of some of Armenia's border areas.

"The British government’s regulation to which you refer, at this phase had an alleviation of the position towards Armenia," Mirzoyan said, addressing Khachatryan.

And addressing the question of why the border delimitation and demarcation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan continues from north to south, the Armenian FM said: "We [i.e. Armenia] have territories under [Azerbaijani] occupation, regarding which we must submit our documents, justifications, maps during border delimitation. We are interested in the continuation of the border delimitation process, we consider it one of the pillars of the peace process. Both our side and the Azerbaijani side have made constructive efforts, and we have come to a common denominator."
