The geopolitical competition between major countries in the international arena is intensifying, and the risks of a violent clash between nuclear powers are growing. This was stated by the secretary of the Russian Security Council and a former defense minister, Sergey Shoigu, in an interview with TASS.

"Amid growing conflicts in the world and the intensification of geopolitical competition, the risks of a violent clash between major countries are growing, including with the participation of nuclear powers," Shoigu noted.

According to him, Western countries have unleashed "ideological and value aggression" against Russia and Belarus, and are attempting to strike not only with economic sanctions, but also to destabilize the domestic political situation in these countries.

"Attempts to destabilize the internal situation, undermine social foundations, and impose an alien neoliberal ideology continue," noted the head of the Russian Security Council.
