Azerbaijani media report on the trial farce of Ruben Vardanyan.

Earlier, it was reported about the joint "trial" of the former leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh and several other Armenian captives in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the next respective court session will be held on January 27—that is, today—and the preventive measure will be considered.

Although in the conditions of the farce that is taking place, this is more like a mockery of justice, for some reason the Azerbaijani press has singled out Ruben Vardanyan. The details of this "trial" in Baku—the capital of Azerbaijan—are minimal in the Azerbaijani press.

The charges are presented by six prosecutors.

There are 15 accused, including former presidents of Nagorno Karabakh Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan and Arayik Harutyunyan, former state minister Ruben Vardanyan, former foreign minister David Babayan, former parliament speaker Davit Ishkhanyan, former defense minister Levon Mnatsakanyan, and former deputy defense minister Davit Manukyan, as well as Garik Martirosyan, Melikset Pashayan, Davit Allahverdyan, Gurgen Stepanyan, Levon Balayan, Madat Babayan, Vasili Beglaryan, and Erik Ghazaryan.

The “trial” is being held at the Baku Military Court.
