The bodies of 18 casualties have been pulled out from the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., where a passenger plane crashed into the river after colliding with a military helicopter, police said, reports CBS.

At least 18 bodies have been pulled from the river. According to officials, there are no survivors, the report said.

The collision of a Black Hawk military helicopter and a passenger plane en route from Kansas—and with 64 people on board—near Reagan National Airport in the US capital could become the country's worst air disaster in the past 15 years.

The last such tragedy in the US occurred in February 2009, when a passenger plane crashed into a New York house, and, as a result, all 49 passengers and crew members, as well as one person in the house, were killed.
