A country must protect its borders, but this does not mean that it cannot collaborate with other countries and organizations. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during his press conference Friday.

“We [i.e. Armenia] are already carrying out joint service on the border of Armenia with Iran and Turkey, while at Zvartnots [International] Airport [of Yerevan] we carry out the service ourselves. The border point with Iran is 100 percent under the control of Armenian border guards. This process will continue,” added Pashinyan.

He called the aforesaid a matter of the will of the two countries, and as long as there is a will to collaborate, Armenia will collaborate.

“If something changes, this will also change. We are currently carrying out joint service [with the Russian border guards], and I do not exclude that the scope of this joint service will be expanded,” concluded the Armenian PM.
