Rick Hendrick, the legendary NASCAR team owner and car dealership mogul, has once again made headlines by adding another first-of-its-kind Corvette to his extensive collection, reports Motorious.

At a recent charity auction, Hendrick paid a staggering $3.7 million for the first production 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, setting a new benchmark for Chevrolet’s high-performance sports car.

All proceeds from the auction will go to the American Red Cross, supporting disaster relief efforts for victims of wildfires and hurricanes across the US.

The 2025 Corvette ZR1 takes the iconic American supercar into hypercar territory, boasting record-breaking performance that challenges even the likes of the Lamborghini Revuelto and Ferrari SF90 Stradale.

The auctioned VIN 001 Corvette ZR1 comes finished in a striking gloss black exterior with blue racing stripes and blue wheels.

This isn’t the first time Hendrick has made history at a Barrett-Jackson auction. He has previously secured several first-off-the-line Corvettes, including the first C8 Stingray, C8 Z06, and E-Ray.
