Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Iran, says that the security of Caucasus region and also all neighbors, including Armenia and Azerbaijan, is important to Iran, Mehr reports.

Iran attaches great importance to the security of the Caucasus and all neighbors, which includes the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, he said stressing constructive relations between Iran and these two countries.

There are exchanges with these two countries at diplomatic levels, Baghaei said, speaking in his weekly press briefing on Monday, adding, “We are ready for any kind of assistance to strengthen security and stability in the South Caucasus region.”

Iran is ready to contribute to the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, he added.

“We have good relations with both countries, there is a diplomatic exchange that has intensified in recent days,” Baghaei said.

According to him, Iran, as it had previously stated, is ready to provide any assistance to strengthen security and stability in the South Caucasus, including by contributing to the development of dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
