Koenigsegg has begun production of the CC850 hypercar, three years after its first introduction, reports Motor.ru.

The CC850 was first shown in 2022. It is an anniversary targa (a semi-convertible car body style with a removable roof section and a full-width roll bar behind the seats), which has a manual transmission with "drive-by-wire" control. A clutch pedal has been added to the “robot” from Jesko.

Such “mechanics” can adjust the gear ratios to the nature of the movement and operate in fully automatic mode.

The hypercar is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 1,385 horsepower.

Production began on the third assembly line, called Reodor, which is based exclusively on the production of the CC850.

Initially, Koenigsegg planned to release only 50 of this model, but later the number of released cars was increased to 70.

Each CC850 hypercar takes about two weeks to assemble, since they are all individual. Production of 70 cars will last until 2027.
