At Thursday’s press briefing, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), commented on the extensive question by an Azerbaijani reporter about Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s current visit to Washington, D.C. and the Strategic Partnership Charter that was recently signed between Armenia and the US.

Zakharova noted that Russia had already stated its position on the abovementioned.

“Secondly, as far as I remember, you, as I just introduced you today, are from the Moscow-Baku agency, right? And your agency will soon turn ten. As far as I understand, you do not intend to change the name of your agency and become ‘Moscow-Yerevan,’ right? There is probably nothing wrong with that. But I don’t think that there was anything like that in your plans. So, stay on the agenda that you are covering: the bilateral relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. We have something to comment on that agenda. We have many programs, questions, problems. That is what we want to deal with,” the Russian MFA spox said, in particular.
