By the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, an operational working group (headquarters) on liquidation of the consequences of the fire that occurred today in Stepanavan community of Lori marz was established and the composition of the headquarters was approved. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia reports. 

RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan was appointed the head of the operative staff.

The operative working group should organize activities aimed at eliminating the consequences of the fire and regularly present information on the results to the Prime Minister and, if necessary, give recommendations.

As it has been reported, today at about 04:30 a.m. a fire broke out in one of the wooden residential buildings in Ashotaberd quarter of Stepanavan city. One person died. 8 citizens applied for medical assistance, 3 of them were transferred to Yerevan, and 1 person is undergoing treatment in Stepanavan Medical Center. The rest of the citizens were given first aid and discharged from the hospital.

Currently, the evacuated citizens have been provided with housing. 29 citizens are accommodated in hotels, 13 - in the apartments of relatives.

Six of the evacuated citizens are minors. All families are provided with food and necessary hygiene products and, if necessary, medicines.
