Disinformation in social networks around the Russian House in Baku is based on well-known methodologies and is aimed at undermining Russian-Azerbaijani ties, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Foreign Ministry drew attention to the disinformation campaign in social networks against the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo - Russian House in Baku, aimed at “undermining Russian-Azerbaijani relations,” TASS reports.

It is noted that as part of this campaign, fake materials are being distributed in the network with an appeal to Baku residents and to “all those who appreciate and respect Russian heritage and culture” to take part in a certain “rally in support of the Russian House in Baku.”

“These publications are maximally stylized under the format of an official message: the official symbols of the Russian House are used, appropriate design elements, real contact details for feedback are indicated. This is a fake. It is designed for the emotional reaction of the mass audience and is molded according to well-known templates and methodologies. We are talking about a purposeful and well-planned provocation in the style of a false flag operation,” the ministry emphasized. - It is obvious that the authors of this falsehood seek to turn the citizens of Azerbaijan against our country, to stir up ethnic discord and impose “toxicity” in the Western model on everything related to Russia, to undermine cooperation between our countries, including in the humanitarian and cultural track. We urge you not to give in to such provocations and to ignore the obvious fakes.
