A sign in two languages has been disassembled from the building where the “Russian House” used to operate in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Employees of the “Russian House” removed the signs from the walls Tuesday and vacated the premises, APA reports.

Azerbaijan had sent a note to Russia on ceasing the activities f the “Russian House” in Baku. After informing the Russian side that the Russian Information and Cultural Center "Russian House," the Rossotrudnichestvo—i.e. the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation of the Russian Federation—representative office in Azerbaijan, is not registered as a legal entity in Azerbaijan and it is seriously violating Azerbaijani legislation, on February 3 a note was sent to the Russian side on ceasing the activities of this "Russian House."
