Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu spoke about the problems related to regional communication, also touching upon the “Zangezur corridor.”
During an interview with CNN Turk, the Turkish official noted that Turkey considers it very important that the tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan end as soon as possible and that final peace be established.
“Armenia and Azerbaijan are talking about that road. There is Iran as an alternative there. In any case, that corridor will pass through a section. Whether it will be through the territory of Armenia or Iran, our Azerbaijani brothers are closely following the process. We [i.e. Turkey] are also following the process,” said the Turkish minister of transport.
