Vietnam’s cheap VinFast electric vehicles (EVs) will be used in taxi services, reports Motoru.ru.

The VinFast brand is actively developing in the Vietnamese local market; the appearance of a whole family of commercial models aimed at taxi companies and car rental services has been announced.

A total of four EVs are planned, two of which will be versions of existing EVs, whereas the other two will be completely new.

One of these new EVs will be called Minio Green. It will be a subcompact (small MPV) three-door hatchback that will compete in the same class with the Chinese Wuling Mini EV.

The length of the Minio Green will be only three meters, with a two-meter wheelbase, and a 27-horsepower electric motor is installed on the rear axle.

The battery capacity of this EV is not disclosed, but it is known that there will be two options to choose from: with a range of 120 and 180 kilometers.

The maximum speed of the VinFast Minio Green is 85 kilometers per hour.

This electric hatchback is expected to be an alternative to mopeds in the Vietnamese market.
