The European Union (EU), unlike the United States, is committed to continuing the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, amid the next—16th—package of EU sanctions on Russia, TASS reports.

“The Europeans continue to follow the path of deepening of sanctions, the path of convincing the need to continue the war,” the Kremlin spokesman told reporters. “This conviction of the Europeans completely contradicts the mood to seek ways to resolve the issue around Ukraine, which, in fact, is what we are doing with the Americans now.”
