Foreign minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with the foreign minister of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. The meeting took place Monday—and on the margins of the high-level segment of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.
The FMs of Armenia and Iran discussed matters on the bilateral cooperation agenda, Armenian News-NEWS.am is informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. The readiness to take further practical steps towards the continuous development of cooperation between the two countries was emphasized, and ongoing efforts and upcoming programs in various sectoral directions were touched upon.
The meeting touched also upon opportunities for cooperation in various formats.
Mirzoyan and Araghchi exchanged views on regional developments, too. In this connection, they touched upon efforts to ensure stability and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
The meeting touched also upon the unblocking of regional economic and transport communications—and based on the unconditional respect for the fundamental principles of international law.
