The prospects for deepening cooperation in the South Caucasus have been discussed. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan, reports of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Special attention was paid to the task of confidence building between the parties, restoration of infrastructure and transport communications, activation of economic activity, including on the basis of multilateral agreements within the framework of the International Consultative Platform “3+3” (three countries of the South Caucasus and their three neighbors - Russia, Turkey and Iran).

In general, I believe that the contact was useful. We will continue to work in Ankara. I am confident that this meeting will make a significant contribution to the further development of multifaceted cooperation between the Russian Federation and Turkey,” he said.
