The UN General Assembly has adopted an anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine.
93 countries voted in favor, 18 (including the USA) voted against it, and 65 (including Armenia) abstained.
Azerbaijan did not participate.
The resolution calls for de-escalation, an early cessation of hostilities and a peaceful resolution of the war against Ukraine, marked by enormous destruction and human suffering, including among civilians, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law.
The resolution recalls the need for full compliance with its relevant resolutions adopted in response “to the aggression against Ukraine, in particular its demand that the Russian Federation immediately, fully and unconditionally withdraw all its armed forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, and its demand that the Russian Federation immediately cease military actions against Ukraine, in particular any attacks on civilians and civilian objects”.
