By order of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Igor Titov has been appointed Consul General of Russia in Gyumri, Armenia, the Russian MFA noted in a statement.

Titov was the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation of the Russian Federation) representation in Japan, from 2019 and 2023, and the vice president of the “Russian-Japanese Association” all-Russian public organization, between 2023 and 2024.

And between 2024 and 2025, Igor Titov was the head of the primary team for the opening of the Consulate General of Russia in Kapan, Armenia.
