Participants of the protest in support of Ruben Vardanyan and other Armenians illegally held in prisons in Baku, the capital of  Azerbaijan, marched from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) building to the government building, in Yerevan.

Earlier, we reported that ordinary citizens and public figures had gathered in front of the Armenian MFA building—and in defense of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) former state minister, businessman, and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, who looked fatigued in the photos published from his last court “trial” in Baku.

The demonstrators demand that the Armenian MFA call a meeting of diplomats accredited in Armenia to discuss the matter.

“The silence of the Armenian government and the international community is direct support for the atrocities of Azerbaijan,” they had noted.
