U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took a raised tone during talks in the Oval Office.  

According to Reuters, Trump accused Zelensky of making disrespectful comments and urged him to be grateful.  

“You either make a deal or we get out of it. You don't have a winning card, you're understaffed, and then you tell us, 'I don't want a ceasefire agreement.' You should be grateful. Without us, you don't have the necessary cards in your hand to play this game,” Trump noted, according to Voice of America.

“You come and see for yourself (whether there are cards - ed.),” Zelensky replied.

He also added: “I didn't come to play cards.” 

The Ukrainian president called Putin a “murderer” and told Trump that there should be “no compromises with a murderer.”  

The US president said he spoke to Vladimir Putin a couple days ago and that the Russian president wants to make a deal.

The Ukrainian president also argued with US Vice President J.D. Vance, who talked about the need for diplomacy.

“I have already signed an agreement with Putin, in the presence of Macron and Merkel. What diplomacy are we talking about here?” - Zelensky replied to him, BBC reports.
