The intelligence services of the UK will continue to share their own data with Ukraine, but will not be able to transfer data received from the US, sources have told The Guardian.

The UK intelligence apparatus is much less powerful than that of the US, but London will be able to provide Kyiv with its own analysis of raw data, as well as what the UK collects through its satellites, ground stations, Rivet Joint aircraft, and even secret ground forces operating in Ukraine, reports BBC. In addition, there are open sources also.

None of this, however, will replace the lost US intelligence, a former UK official said, but it would still give Ukraine early warning of an attack by Russia and some ability to strike deep into Russian territory.

French defense minister Sebastien Lecornu had said Thursday morning that his country was sharing its “sovereign” intelligence data with Ukraine.
