Zhanna Andreasyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, received US Ambassador Kristina Kvien.

Andreasyan emphasized the importance of Armenia-US cooperation, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The meeting touched upon cooperation in education, in particular, the possibilities of cooperation in higher education and science within the framework of the Academic City program of Armenia

The minister stressed that Armenia-US cooperation in education and science was also emphasized in the strategic partnership charter signed recently between the two countries.

Ambassador Kvien, for her part, stressed that the development of cooperation in education and science is of particular importance in the US relations with Armenia. The American diplomat noted, in particular, that the aforesaid Academic City program can best contribute to expanding this cooperation.

 Several other matters of bilateral interest were also discussed during the meeting.
