YEREVAN. – There are no negative or hindering circumstances on developing Armenian-Iranian relations, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told at the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan on Friday. The meeting held in the extended format.

Ahmadinejad said that the relations between the two states are on a very good level.

“We have always had good relations throughout the history and they are preserved currently. Besides, we have good-neighborhood relations, which are a great and important factor. There are no negative or hindering circumstances on developing Armenian-Iranian relations,” Iranian President stated.

On expressing satisfaction for the effective negotiations with his Armenian counterpart, Ahmadinejad said that no one could change the map between Armenia and Iran.

“Productive negotiations run on several projects, in particular, energy exchange, and hydroelectric power plant on the River Araks. We also discussed development of trade-economic relations. We touched upon several regional issues. The two states’ viewpoints are close and similar on this regard. We decided also to organize meetings between the officials of the two states to implement those projects,” Ahmadinejad added.
