Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Dutch foreign minister Caspar Veldkamp, the PM’s office informs.

The premier emphasized the dynamic nature of cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands. Pashinyan highly assessed the level of bilateral political dialogue, adding that it is necessary to take steps to further expand ties in the economy and other domains. Nikol Pashinyan underscored the role of the Netherlands in the deepening of Armenia-European Union (EU) relations and effectively implementing the democratic reform agenda in Armenia.

Caspar Veldkamp, for his part, noted that close cooperation based on mutual trust has been established between the foreign ministries of the two countries. According to him, the declaration on strategic partnership signed between Armenia and the Netherlands today will elevate the two countries’ bilateral relations to a new level. Veldkamp added that the Netherlands will continue to contribute to the development of Armenia-EU cooperation, including to advance the reform agenda of Armenia.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan as well as regional stability.

They exchanged views also on some other matters of mutual interest.
