There is an escalation of air and artillery attacks in northern and eastern Syria amid ongoing tensions between the Syrian Democratic Forces and Turkish soldiers.
Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes on rural areas near the northern Syrian city of Kobani, reports the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR)
This was a continuation of the increase in tension in eastern Aleppo and the ongoing clashes around strategic positions (Qarquzaq bridge and Teshreen dam).
Turkish warplanes on Wednesday carried out bombings in the Qassaq Mountains of the village of Kobani; there are no reports of casualties.
Meanwhile, Syrian Democratic Forces’ drones attacked Turkish military bases in the Kara Kozak area, destroying two radar systems, an armored personnel carrier, and damaging an armored vehicle. Four soldiers, believed to be Turkish, were also wounded.
Bloody clashes also took place on the front lines in eastern Aleppo.
