Washington is discussing with Kyiv what territories it will keep and what it will lose as a result of the conflict resolution, as well as other elements of the final agreement on this matter. US President Donald Trump said this during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office of the White House, Sky News reports.

“A large power plant is also involved. Who will get it? Who will get what? It's not an easy process,” the American leader added, without elaborating.

Also, the US president noted that the Ukrainian party touched on the topic of NATO, and Kyiv joining this alliance. Trump stressed that "everyone knows what the answer to that is. To be honest, this answer has been known for 40 years."

Among other matters, Trump noted that territorial concessions are being discussed with Ukraine, which he is ready to make for a peaceful resolution of the conflict with Russia. At the same time, however, the US head of state emphasized that first of all, it is necessary to achieve a ceasefire on the Russian side.
