US airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, have killed at least 9 people, Al Jazeera reports, citing the Yemeni Ministry of Defense.
It is also reported about nine wounded.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he had ordered the country's armed forces to launch “decisive and powerful military action” against Yemen's Houthis.
“They are waging an ongoing campaign of piracy, violence and terrorism against American and other ships, aircraft and drones.” Joe Biden's response was deplorably weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going,” Trump wrote, also calling on Iran to ‘immediately cease’ its support for the Houthis.
