German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Budenbender, will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan from March 30 to April 2, informs the German presidential press service.

It will be Steinmeier’s first visit to the two countries.

Within the framework of his visit, the German president will have a number of high-level meetings.

In Armenia, Steinmeier will meet with President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Also, he will visit the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, and attend a cultural event.

On the second day of his visit to Armenia, the German president will travel to Dilijan city, communicate with Armenian businesswomen, and get familiarized with the urban development program.

In addition, Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit the Sevanavank Monastery at shore of Lake Sevan, and the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of Armenia, which works in conjunction with the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research of Germany.
