Terrorism remains a constant global threat, the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) report on the “Terrorism Level Index” says.

Armenia improved its position in the ranking by 6 points compared to 2023, placing 79th with an index of 0.72.

The number of countries that experienced at least one terrorist incident increased from 58 to 66, the highest number of countries affected since 2018. In 2024, more countries worsened than improved for the first time in seven years, with 45 countries reporting a greater impact of terrorism, while only 34 showed improvement.

The Islamic State and its affiliates remained the deadliest terrorist organization in 2024, responsible for 1,805 deaths in 22 countries.
