Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan on Tuesday participated as a speaker in the panel discussion "The Iran Factor: Crisis, Convergence, Competition" on the margins of Raisina Dialogue 2025 conference.

The speakers addressed the challenges emerging from the rapid transformations in the Middle East, including Tehran's engagement and position in the region, and exchanged views on the role of Iran and other international actors in this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his speech, the Armenian deputy FM emphasized that developments in the Middle East impact not only the region but beyond, and underscored that Armenia is a part of the Greater Middle East, with ongoing events being directly felt in the country as well. Also, Kostanyan stressed the presence of Armenian heritage and traditional Armenian communities across these countries.

During the panel discussion, the finalization of the draft of the Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was also presented, highlighting the recognition and support of this fact from numerous international partners.

In addition, the Armenian deputy FM underlined the importance of various international transportation routes in the context of ensuring global security and stability, stressing the significance of the South Caucasus in various projects and outlining the efforts of the Armenian government aimed at unblocking regional infrastructures—and in line with its Crossroads of Peace initiative.
