The Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: The Zhoghovurd daily was informed by the RA Statistical Committee that the foreigners who received RA temporary residence status, according to the country of citizenship and the basis for granting the status, are classified as follows: India—1,349 people, Russian Federation—1,165 people, Iran—550 people, Jordan—172 people, Sri Lanka—148 people.

The number of foreigners who received RA temporary residence status has amounted to 4,439, of which in the case of 747 people entrepreneurial activity was considered as the basis, in the case of 1,351—family reunification (based on the circumstances of being the spouse, parent or child of a foreigner who has a temporary residence status in RA, or the spouse/close relative (parent, child, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild) of a RA citizen/foreigner who has a permanent or special residence status in RA), in the case of 2,313—education, in the case of 28 people—being Armenian by nationality.

It should also be noted that, according to the RA Statistical Committee, 342,460 people entered the Republic of Armenia in the month of January 2025, of which only 167,798 were with RA documents. If we compare the data with the same period of the previous year, it is worth noting that the number of people who entered the RA in January of the previous year was 326,252. It turns out that in January 2025, 16,208 more people visited Armenia compared to the previous year.

According to the same data, 339,773 people exited the Republic of Armenia, of which only 144,103 were with RA documents. That is, the total balance of exits from the RA and entries to the RA makes up 2,687 people; it turns out that the number of entries is more by 2,687 people.
