The 41 deficiencies, which were recorded in the aviation sector of Armenia as a result of an audit conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), have been corrected, and an official petition on the work done has been sent to the European Union (EU), Armenpress reports.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Kristine Ghalechyan, at a regular meeting of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection of the National Assembly, as she presented the work done to ensure international standards in the aviation sector of Armenia.

“The International Civil Aviation Organization conducted an audit of compliance with international standards and requirements in the aviation sector in Armenia, within the framework of which a comprehensive plan of measures was developed to eliminate a number of deficiencies recorded in the field of aviation accident investigation. As of now, the 41 recorded deficiencies have been corrected and a petition on the work done has been sent to the European Union. We are waiting for the response of our partners," said Ghalechyan.
