Moscow and Kiev on Wednesday conducted a 175-for-175 prisoner exchange, the Russian defense ministry said, TASS reports.

“On March 19, 2025, as a result of the negotiation process, 175 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In return, 175 prisoners of war were transferred to the Ukrainian armed forces,” the ministry noted.

“The fighters are provided with the necessary psychological and medical assistance, as well as the opportunity to establish contact with their relatives,” the statement added.

The United Arab Emirates made the respective mediation efforts.
