The Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: We had written that after the recent geopolitical developments, [Armenian Prime Minister] Nikol Pashinyan, like a "prodigal son," has decided to throw himself into the arms of Russia again and has instructed all [Armenian] state departments to restore interdepartmental horizontal ties and contacts and to participate in all events, meetings with the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation].

Nikol Pashinyan has already accepted the invitation of the RF president and will attend the anniversary celebrations—scheduled for May 9 in Moscow—of the 80th anniversary of the [victory in the] Great Patriotic War.

The CC [i.e. Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract Party and its parliamentary faction] is waiting with bated breath for that visit; they believe that the fate of the authorities in Armenia will become certain from the contact with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin.

There are persistent rumors that Russia, which is strengthening its positions in the region, will soon begin a "sweep" in the regional countries—cleaning them of "foreign" bodies for it, especially of those who have behaved badly in its hour of trouble.
Although those who know Pashinyan well believe that if he bows to [Azerbaijani president] Aliyev and [Turkish president] Erdogan, he will have no difficulty in the matter of bowing to Putin and will pass under the Russian’s sword again.
