The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, on Thursday delivered a speech at the Rio Branco Institute of Diplomacy, during his official visit to Brazil.

In his speech, Mirzoyan touched upon Armenian-Brazilian bilateral relations, the cultural ties connecting the two peoples, the great potential for cooperation, the directions outlined following his meeting with Brazil’s foreign minister the previous day, as well as regional and global challenges, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Armenia’s strategic outreach to South America, with Brazil as one of the key partners, is an important element of our foreign policy,” the Armenian FM noted, in particular.

About sixty students from Brazil and some other countries participated in the discussion at the aforesaid institute. Mirzoyan answered a number of their questions, touching upon Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, and the development and prospects of international partnerships aimed at their implementation.

Also, Ararat Mirzoyan made an entry in the book of honored guests of the Rio Branco Institute of Diplomacy.
