Iran is ready to hold indirect talks with the US while there is no possibility of direct dialog between Tehran and Washington due to threats and maximum pressure policy of US President Donald Trump. The Islamic republic's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

“On this issue, our position is completely clear. Iran, under the policy of maximum pressure, under the threats voiced, will not enter direct talks with the US until there is a change in the approach of the opposite side towards Iran and the Iranian people. Given the policies and accusations that are being made every day, we will not go for direct talks with the US side, but the way is open for indirect talks,” he emphasized on SNN TV.

According to Araghchi, Tehran's main task is to defend the interests of the country and its people and the authorities “will not miss any opportunity” to fulfill it.
