The telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was a confirmation of the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the governmental hour in the parliament on March 26.

According to him, this conversation was a confirmation that this agenda continues to be important for both Armenia and the new American administration.

He added that the Secretary of State also reiterated the importance of agreeing on the text of the peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku. “We agreed that the peace agreement should be signed and ratified as soon as possible. We fixed that escalation in the region cannot happen, especially against this background. Besides, an agreement was reached to continue the high-level dialog between the US and Armenia,” Pashinyan noted.
