Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said that the diplomatic pressure of the international community and Arab countries on Israel to stop its attacks has not been exhausted, the National News Agency (NNA) reported. 

He noted that normalization of relations with Israel is totally rejected by all Lebanese. During a meeting in Grand Serale with a delegation of the Lebanese Press Editors Syndicate led by Joseph Al-Qasifi, Salam said that the purpose of French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian's visit to Lebanon was to discuss reconstruction efforts.

He rejected claims about the strategic value of the five areas that Israel insists on holding, saying that they serve no military or security purpose other than maintaining pressure on Lebanon.

Salam strongly opposed Israeli rhetoric regarding the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and the proposal to establish a Palestinian state outside historic Palestine.

He stressed the importance of mobilizing Arab and international support to oppose this plan. On domestic policy, Salam reiterated his commitment to financial and political reforms, emphasizing the independence of the judiciary. He said that the relevant judicial reform bill would soon be submitted to parliament.

The Lebanese Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of the appointments mechanism approved by the cabinet, confirming that the process would begin with the appointment of the head of the Council for Development and Reconstruction.

He insisted that all appointments must be made in accordance with this framework to guarantee that administrative reforms remain free from political interference. As for his meeting with Le Drian, Salam reiterated that his visit is focused on reconstruction efforts.
