Iran has sent an official response to US President Donald Trump's letter to the Islamic Republic's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced in an interview with IRNA news agency.

According to him, the message was mediated by Oman.

“The official response to Trump's letter was sent yesterday in an appropriate form with the mediation of Oman,” the diplomat said.

According to Araghchi, the response contains two documents. The first outlines Tehran's views on the current situation in the world, while the second fully deconstructs and comments on the points contained in Trump's letter.

The content of the message was not disclosed, but Araghchi separately emphasized that Tehran will continue to refuse to maintain direct contacts when trying to exert pressure, but negotiations with the participation of mediators can continue.

On March 7, Trump wrote on his Truth Social media page that he had sent a message to Khamenei proposing talks on Tehran's nuclear program. The Iranian leader, commenting on the American president's statement, emphasized that his country would not engage in dialogue with the United States, as Washington is only concerned with its own interests.
