The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has publicized the results—as of Monday 8am—of voting in 81 of the 82 polling stations that were opened in Sunday’s municipal elections in Gyumri.

Accordingly, the ruling Civil Contract Party (first place, acting mayor Sarik Minasyan) is the leader with 36.80% (16,938 votes).

The Communist Party of Armenia (first place, former mayor Vardan Ghukasyan) is in second place, with 20.71% of voters (9,537 votes).

The Our City bloc (MP Martun Grigoryan of the "With Honor" Faction of the National Assembly) is in third place with 15.85% of the votes (7,296 votes).

The votes among the other political forces participating in the Gyumri council elections were distributed as follows:

My Powerful Community party (first place: Ruben Mkhitaryan) — 7.94% (3,659 votes),

Mother Armenia bloc (first place: Karen Simonyan) — 6.18% (2,844 votes),

European Alliance (first place: Levon Barseghyan) — 4.50% (2,071 votes),

Country to Live party (first place: Karen Malkhasyan) — 3.60% (1,658 votes)

Democratic Alternative party (first place: Artyom Karaghazaryan) — 3.01% (1,387 votes),

Labor Socialist Party of Armenia (first place: Artyom Tumanyan) — 1.39% (642 votes).

Thus, according to preliminary data, there will be 5 political forces in the Gyumri Council of Elders—as the respective threshold for political parties is 4%, and for blocs - 6%.
