Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan on Monday met at the Presidential Residence with the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who has arrived in Armenia on an official visit.
The two presidents first had a private conversation, followed by an expanded meeting with the delegations of both countries, informed the Armenian president’s office.
During the meeting, a wide range of matters related to the expansion and deepening of multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries were discussed. Both sides emphasized the importance of organizing cooperation more effectively, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union, with special attention to strengthening relations in economy, education, culture, and science.
The importance of implementing joint programs in the energy sector—and with the goal of creating new prospects and strengthening partnership ties—was also highlighted during the meeting.
Both sides expressed their willingness to continue joint efforts based on constructive dialogue, mutually beneficial initiatives, and strong cooperation.
