Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), an elite unit of the Iranian armed forces, has called US President Donald Trump's repeated threats against Tehran a "destructive habit."

"This repetition of threats is a destructive habit. Our enemies have not learned lessons from past events," Salami said, according to Iran's state-run IRIB news agency.

Trump, in an interview with NBC News, had threatened with unprecedented bombings if the US and Iran do not reach an agreement.
